Day 10, 11 &12

It's getting a little hard theses days to come up with blog ideas when I'm volunteering for long shifts where there's no photos allowed... Sometimes when I'm working the gate, I don't even see a curler the entire night... In fact, last night, I was so busy guarding a curtain, I totally missed seeing Gretsky who was 10 feet away.

So I started a video project with the other volunteers but it's taking longer then I anticipated. But stayed tuned for that...

But I didn't want you to give up on my blog so thought I would at least give you one story...

Tonight, I had Carl Lewis in my section...he's out in the concourse coming back to his section (and at least 10 yards away) and I say to the fireman who's beside me, "I'm going to race Carl up the stairs" and he says, "you'll probably beat him, he's old now". So I'm laughing a little and Carl (who was not within earshot) comes up to me and says "What's going on that's making you smile?" So I tell him I'm just a happy person...and he says, "no really, share with me, I need a good laugh"....Talk about getting busted!!

Here's a pic of some of my new friends..

  1. Hi Michelle! Thx for helping those of us who are 'technically challenged'! Saw you on TV at the opening ceremonies - you were wearing a white poncho, right?! Great blog - it almost feels like I'm there with you! Tammy

  2. Great blog, Michelle - or I should say, blogs. I especially liked the Tanzania one. My wife and I went there in 2003 and did many of the things you did.
