Day 8

Guest Blogger Danielle

My second day of olympic festivities had me up at the crack of seven (in the morning) cheering for Canada at curling. There was sunshine and if you look closely there is a soccer field! And it's green!

I do not know a whole lot about the sport, but could not wait to yell at the top of my lungs "SWEEP!"

The atomosphere in the arena was very energetic. Everyone was really into the matches. Even at 9am there was beer, hot dogs, cow bells and bull horns. Canada played Japan (left hand side) in a nailbiter with Canada winning by one! Yeah!

Just makes me proud to be Canadian.

Womens hockey was my second athletic even of the day. By the end of this trip i think i will be able to be in the next olympics. I still say i could ski jump!

Meghan Agosta had a hat trick in the 13-1 win by canada over sweden. These are her proud grandparents cheering her on. So CUTE! Hope the Swedish team has a better meatball recipe than playbook!

These puck bunnies where quite amusing and kept the crowd laughing. not sure where they picked up the viking!

"Oh Canada, our home and native land..."

In a sea of red and white our Canadian women did us all proud once again. Could not have asked for a better end to my olympic experience. Thanx Mich!
